Bystander Intervention and Awareness for Chicago
Course Description
Employees have the right to work in an environment free from sexual and other harassment. This bystander intervention course provides employees with skills to identify and safely intervene in harassment situations, decreasing their detrimental effects. Harassment, including sexual harassment, impairs work performance and the work environment. This training fulfills the requirements of the Chicago Human Rights Ordinance of Chicago, Illinois. Learners will indicate how to assess, respond to, and intervene in situations of harassment using four intervention approaches. They will learn about the factors that keep bystanders from intervening, which will allow them to better respond when they witness harassment, creating a safer and more positive workplace.

State-Specific Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment continues to remain a real workplace problem. Media stories and studies clarify the high tool that this misconduct takes on targeted employees, coworkers, and the overall work environment.
