These microlearning FAST modules explain the basic requirements of the Customer Identification Program (CIP) as prescribed by the USA PATRIOT Act. They detail the six basic elements of a CIP and what types of customers and accounts are affected. Although each institution's Customer Identification Program will be tailored to its own specific needs and circumstances, these modules will outline the law's requirements for collecting and verifying customer identifying information, including beneficial owners of legal entity customers.
