This course explains who is considered a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) and the associated money laundering risks they represent under the USA PATRIOT Act. Customer service representatives, private bankers, and commercial account managers must be able to understand how to identify a PEP and explain why a politically exposed person is associated with a higher money laundering risk in connection with certain accounts.
