President, Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Patrick Sheahan applies his entrepreneurial talent so all OnCourse learners receive the most innovative, timely and fully-integrated education experiences. To execute this ambitious vision, he has successfully led the company through multiple acquisitions that have created a new standard for best-in-class brands, the latest trends in technology, and delivery of premier e-learning products and services.

Patrick’s experience is a powerful mix of proven, operational leadership and strategic execution. His talents were well-honed while holding numerous business-unit leadership positions at Dover Corporation, including CFO of Performance Motorsports, Inc., and General Manager of Wiseco Performance Products, a subsidiary. Before Dover, Patrick worked for KPMG.

Patrick is a CPA and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marquette University and a Master of Business Administration in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.

Todd Wilson

EVP, Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, Todd Wilson brings more than 30 years of finance and operations experience to the OnCourse Learning team. Todd is a CPA by training and his professional roles have ranged from public accounting to Fortune 500 executive level accounting, finance and operations, private equity, and as an entrepreneur. He brings a broad set of professional skills as an executive in a Fortune 500 company, an acquirer and integrator of acquisitions, an adviser to mid-market growth companies, and as an executive with more than 20 successful company transformations in various industries and countries. Todd combines broad skills in business fundamentals with powerful organizational improvement skills to create and drive the meaningful changes required in organizations.

Todd was a CPA with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and Price Waterhouse. His past public accounting roles included executive finance roles with both Sega and Fisher Scientific and an executive operations role with Fisher Scientific. Subsequent to Fisher Scientific, Todd was the Operations Partner for Sterling Capital Partners.

Todd earned a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance from the University of California at Berkeley.

Maia Tihista

Chief Marketing Officer

Maia leads the overall go-to-market strategy, drives marketing execution and uses data-driven insights to ensure a consistent stream of measurable inbound and outbound activities that will increase awareness, drive pipeline and revenue, and position OnCourse Learning as a leader in technology-based learning.

Maia comes to OnCourse Learning with over 20 years in B2B and B2C marketing. She has held marketing and product management roles in both start-ups and Global 500 organizations in the enterprise software and embedded technologies space. She most recently was VP of Marketing responsible for product marketing, demand generation, corporate communications and sales development for Flexera Software, a company that supplies software developers and enterprises with the tools to build, manage and secure software. Prior to Flexera, Maia held marketing roles at LexisNexis, Sony, Hitachi and Panasonic.

Maia has degrees in Communications and Business from Washington State University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Webster University.

Stan Gonsalves

Chief Technology Officer

Stan’s focus is to align the business and technology needs of OnCourse Learning in an efficient and timely manner using innovative technology while mitigating risks.

He has nearly 30 years of software development and management experience working at small and large companies. He's held roles in both software development and management — from product conception through construction and validation, all the way through customer support and end-of-life. His experience spans human capital management, automotive, application performance management, retail and corporate IT — delivering innovative solutions to accelerate business performance.

Prior to joining OnCourse Learning, Stan held the position of VP of Engineering at SumTotal Systems. He also has held leadership positions in engineering at FTD, Symantec and Motorola.

Stan holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.

Brett Shively

Executive Vice President, Financial Services & Real Estate

Brett Shively is focused on leading the sales and operations for OnCourse Learning’s Financial Services and Real Estate business units, to deliver results in highly regulated markets by tailoring messaging for the appropriate audiences and inspiring well-trained teams. He brings a strong background in education, licensing certification and training as well as deep industry experience in banking, financial services and insurance.

He has held numerous executive level positions, most recently as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Everspring Partners, a Chicago-based online program management (OPM) company that specializes in the enablement of online curriculum in higher education.

Prior to Everspring, Brett held roles as Senior Vice President of Operations for Trident University International; Vice President, Keller Center for Corporate Learning at DeVry Education Group; Vice President of Sales, Becker Professional Education, also a DeVry Education Group entity; and Vice President, Sales for Kaplan Financial.

Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Political Science from Georgetown College.


Executive Vice President, Healthcare

Ken Ramirez leads OnCourse Learning's healthcare and advertising divisions. His professional career spans 25 years of championing learning and publishing to positively impact patient care, including the highly successful transformation of Nurse.com from a powerfully influential printed publication to nursing’s single largest website, CE provider and most trusted news and career advancement solution.

His business philosophy is rooted in building strong relationships and developing and managing products that foster education and industry knowledge. Ken’s focus is always on ensuring customer satisfaction for healthcare professionals, their employers and those seeking to connect with them.

Prior to joining OnCourse Learning, he championed new products for Gannett Healthcare Group, such as CE Direct, ContinuiningEducation.com, and Nutrition Dimension. Ken also has held numerous positions at Jobson Publishing and NurseWeek Publishing, selling advertising and career development solutions to healthcare employers.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University.


Senior Vice President, Learning Operations

As Senior Vice President, Learning Operations, Michael McNulty sets the vision for education technology with a human touch at OnCourse Learning. He leads the e-learning team in addition to the Education Services, Customer Experience, and Implementation teams to ensure an ever-improving and delightful customer experience.

Michael’s background includes 20 years of leadership, sales and operational experience in the financial services and education industries. Before joining OnCourse Learning, Michael held executive positions with Prometric, the Hartford and Legg Mason. Through these roles Michael has developed a keen focus on customer expectations related to corporate training goals.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration with a Finance Concentration from Johns Hopkins University. Throughout his career, he has held the Series 7, 55, 63, 65, 66, Maryland Life and Health, and Maryland Home Improvement Contractor’s licenses.

Jennifer Janzen

Vice President, Human Resources

As Vice President of Human Resources, Jennifer creates an employee culture that values motivation, integrity, innovation and collaboration. These ethics support the exceptional experience OnCourse Learning delivers to its employees and customers alike. She has more than 20 years of human resource experience, including various management roles with the American Society for Quality.

Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and a certification as a Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute.

Andrea Mainelli’s understanding of the college market gives OnCourse Learning a unique perspective on how to build university-caliber education in an online format.

Ms. Mainelli is Senior Advisor to Tyton Partners, a strategy and investment banking advisory firm, and also consults with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations on strategy and leadership engagements. Previously, Ms. Mainelli held key executive roles for the College Board, overseeing International Programs and Services and 200+ professionals who partnered with higher education institutions. As CEO of Kaplan Financial and Real Estate, Ms. Mainelli led the division’s growth and expansion strategy, operations, new product initiatives and led the acquisition and integration of more than ten training companies.

Ms. Mainelli is a graduate of Harvard-Radcliffe Colleges, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Justin Lipton specializes in building equity, providing OnCourse Learning with the resources necessary to bring innovation to our customers.

He is Managing Director of CIP Capital, a New-York firm focusing on growth-oriented, middle-market companies across North American Business Information and Tech-Enabled sectors. Mr. Lipton built his considerable expertise over a distinguished, 15-year career. He was a principal at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners (DLJMBP), a firm specializing in a wide range of private equity transactions in business services, media, consumer, energy and industrial sectors. He gained valuable experience in mergers and acquisitions while working in the Global Industrial and Services Group at Credit Suisse.

Mr. Lipton received a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University

Daniel Schwartz’s finance experience gives OnCourse Learning a wealth of strategies for implementing sound corporate governance at every level.

Currently Mr. Schwartz serves as a Vice President at CIP Capital. He has also served as a Vice President at Halyard Capital, where he focused on investments in the business services industry and led all aspects of new deal execution as well as post-investment management. As an analyst in Bear Stearns’ Telecom, Media and Technology Group, he was instrumental in creating value as part of mergers and acquisitions and structuring debt and equity financings across the media, communication and business services industries.

Mr. Schwartz received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

Tom Reddin’s mix of digital and consumer package goods expertise gives OnCourse Learning the edge on how to build a future-minded company with top-level marketing presence.

Mr. Reddin is Managing Partner of Red Dog Ventures LLC, a venture capital and advisory firm focused on taking early stage digital companies to the next level. He is the former CEO of LendingTree, where he led the company from a small start up to $735MM brand and the country’s leader in online lending. Prior to LendingTree, Mr. Reddin spent almost 30 years in the consumer package goods industry as Vice President of Consumer Marketing for Coca Cola USA, and in various executive level brand and finance roles at Kraft Foods.

Mr. Reddin is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from New York University, with Distinction.

Scott Marden brings OnCourse Learning invaluable corporate, non-profit, communications, publishing and leadership experience. Mr. Marden is currently a Managing Partner of CIP Capital, a New York firm that invests in growth-focused, middle-market companies. Before forming CIP Capital, Mr. Marden held C-suite positions at: DLJ Merchant Banking Partners; The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc.; Marvel Entertainment Group, Inc.; Philips Media; CBS, Inc. International Publishing division; Bear Stearns & Co.; and Bankers Trust Company (Deutsche Bank).

Mr. Marden holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University and a Master’s degree from the University of Chicago.
