Late CE: 1 Hour CA-DFPI SAFE: California Mortgage Lending Compliance Updates (14298)

This course will take a look at the laws and regulations governing mortgage loan originators, lenders, and brokers doing business in California. In Module 1, students will review standards of conduct, including license maintenance, recordkeeping and reporting, and limitations on fees and charges, as well as provisions of the California Consumer Privacy Act. In Module 2, students will review prohibited conduct for licensees, as well as disciplinary action that may be taken when violations of the law occur, plus the recently reinstated Homeowner Bill of Rights. The content for this course is the same as course ID 14298 and is intended to satisfy CE requirements for 2023 or the last year a mortgage loan originator held an active license. Mortgage loan originators cannot take this course again for credit in 2024.
