March 8 event explains how proper implementation impacts future provider payments
BROOKFIELD, Wis. — Data collected by nurses, physicians and healthcare professionals this year will impact how Medicare Part B payments are distributed in 2019. The latest webinar from OnCourse Learning will examine putting this new system into practice so providers can receive payments for their services.
To ensure proper implementation of the new Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015, known as MACRA, healthcare professionals can attend the free webinar “MACRA 201: Operationalizing CMS’s Merit-Based Incentive Payment System in Clinical Practice,” from 1-2 p.m. ET on March 8.
“Now that the rules concerning MACRA are becoming known, providers want to know how they can organize their practices to meet the rules,” said Jennifer Mensik, PhD, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, the executive director for nursing, medicine and pharmacy education for OnCourse Learning. “This webinar will start to provide those answers on putting MACRA into use in provider’s practices so they can excel in this new payment structure.”
The webinar, which is available for free through March 15, will be hosted by Nurse.com and ContinuingEducation.com, two premier healthcare brands of OnCourse Learning.
Who should attend?
The live webinar is designed for the following professionals:
- Nurse practitioners
- Certified registered nurse anesthetists
- Clinical nurse specialists
- Registered nurses

The MACRA 201 webinar will help attendees use the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System in everyday clinical practice.
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe components of the new payment system; determine operational changes needed to address quality, improvement activities and advancing care information into their individual and group practices; and articulate how to incorporate evidence-based and practice-specific quality data into their practices.
