BROOKFIELD, Wis. — The 12 essential things you need to know about becoming a real estate agent will be detailed during free “Starting a New Career in Real Estate” webinars hosted by OnCourse Learning Real Estate.
“For anyone considering a new career or joining the real estate industry, attending one of these webinars will offer you valuable insight as well as advice,” said Brian Sholly, executive vice president of real estate for OnCourse Learning. The company’s three real estate continuing education and license training schools are ProSchools, Career Webschool and California License.
Scheduled for 6 p.m. CDT Aug. 16 and 6 p.m. CDT Sept. 30, these free webinars will be presented by real estate veteran Jo Mangum, who was named North Carolina Real Estate Educator of the Year in 2015.
Top traits of successful agents
During the webinar, Mangum will share research she conducted by interviewing 120 real estate professionals. Half were very successful and half were less successful. “I was looking for behaviors that might account for success or lack of success,” said Mangum, whose business specializes in coaching and training real estate professionals.
“What I discovered was it did not matter their age, personality traits or if they were an introvert versus an extrovert,” she said. “I found really interesting information including that the really great real estate agents were life-long learners. One of the other traits was their ability to resonate with people.
“These webinars will provide an overview of the real estate profession, answer any questions you may have and also teach you how to take the first steps in becoming an agent,” Mangum said. “We will have an honest conversation about it.”
